  • VIENNA - SALZBURG

Today we explore beautiful Vienna. The city’s artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven, and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, such as, Schönbrunn which we will visit. We’ll also visit the Cathedral of St. Stephen. Here we will see the miraculous image known as Our Lady of Mariapocs, an image of a weeping Madonna which shed tears in 1696 while hundreds of people witnessed the event. In the afternoon, we will make our way to Salzburg.

  • SALZBURG - MUNICH

Today we enjoy a tour of Salzburg, Austria. Salzburg is known as “The Rome of the North” for its beautiful churches. Afterwards, we will spend a leisurely afternoon in Munich visiting the central Marienplatz square which contains landmarks such as the Neo-Gothic Neues Rathaus which we will visit.

  • OBERAMMERGAU

Today, the day is primarily dedicated to the world-famous Passion Play, the centerpiece of our pilgrimage trip. In 1633 the Oberammergau villagers promised to perform the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ every tenth year, if no one was to die of the plague anymore, which raged in many parts of Europe. The villagers were answered by God and therefore in 1634 the first Passion Play took place. The promise has been kept ever since.

  • ZÜRICH

Today we explore Zürich with a guided tour of the city. Enjoy the picturesque lanes of the central Altstadt (Old Town), on either side of the Limmat River, which reflect its pre-medieval history. Waterfront promenades like the Limmatquai follow the river toward the 17th-century Rathaus (town hall).

  • ZÜRICH - FRANKFURT

Today we make our way to Frankfurt. Once there, we begin with a tour of the city. While in Frankfurt, we will see such sites as the Römerberg, the Justice Fountain, Old Town Hall, New Town Hall, along with numerous open-fronted shops, where we can pick up some souvenirs.

  • FRANKFURT - COLOGNE

Today we make our way to Cologne to tour the city. While in Cologne, we will visit the twin-spired Cologne Cathedral, now a UNESCO site, the cathedral is the single most visited landmark in all of Germany. The Cologne Cathedral has held the reliquary of the Three Kings since 1164.
